Program & Event Cost Overview
At Lopez Urban Farm, we believe community wellness should be accessible to everyone. Through our alternative economy model, pay what you can, take what you need, no one is turned away for lack of funds. We prioritize people over profit and keep overhead low while offering meaningful educational, artistic, and wellness-centered programming for the city of Pomona.
Here’s a look at the average cost of some of our programs and events:
SKATE CAMP
Each annual cohort of Skate Camp costs approximately $2,000 for 15 students. This includes snacks, program supplies, instructor stipends, and skate supplies.
Educational Workshops & Community Programs
Each free educational, artistic, or ecological workshop costs approximately $200 per session. These funds go directly to local community members, on-the-ground partners, and program supplies that make each experience possible.
JR FARMERS
Our annual Jr. Farmers programming costs approximately $2,200 and serves around 25 students, 11 times per year. This includes program supplies and instructor stipends.
Major Community Events
Our larger public events cost approximately $5,000 each. This helps cover stipends for local artists, free food for participants, bathrooms, local entertainment, marketing materials, and workshop supplies.
Family-Friendly Bilingual Yoga
Offering free weekly family-friendly bilingual yoga classes costs approximately $2,500 annually, serving around 25 participants each week.
Field Trips
We host around 45 low-cost field trips annually, engaging students from Pre-K through college in hands-on educational programming. Our low-cost model keeps these experiences accessible to schools and youth organizations. An average field trip can cost between $50-$1000 depending on size and activity.
